As reported by the Wall Street Journal – “AI is all around us. Most of it is making our lives better,” Biden said Monday at a reception held in the White House East Room and attended by cabinet officials, lawmakers, tech leaders and advocates. “One thing is clear: To realize the promise of AI and avoid the risks, we need to govern this technology…There’s no way around it. It must be governed.”
This EO calls for a safety program to address the potential for harm from healthcare AI which aligns directly with our committed use of proprietary AI algorithms, and our experience building and certifying complex EHRs. Our business model and experience enable us to ensure full accountability and control without adapting ‘open source’ platforms, even with a “proprietary application,” that puts patient data at risk for theft or misappropriation.
